Beyond Ordinary Travel
Uganda game drives offer savannah wildlife experiences in parks that are among Africa’s most diverse and least crowded. Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda is the country’s most visited park for game drives. Tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector are a unique highlight found in very few places worldwide. Elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, topi, and warthog roam the open savannah, while the Kazinga Channel edges provide spectacular waterbird sightings from the vehicle. Murchison Falls National Park in the north features dramatic landscapes and excellent Uganda game drives — lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and large buffalo herds move through open savannah and riverine forest. The Nile adds an extraordinary backdrop to every drive. Kidepo Valley National Park in the remote northeastern corner of Uganda is a destination for the serious safari traveller. Uganda game drives in Kidepo reveal cheetahs, striped hyenas, caracals, and Rothschild’s giraffes — species found in few other Ugandan parks. Kidepo is raw, remote, and rarely visited, offering a wilderness experience that the mainstream East African circuit cannot match.
