Park Entry Fees

Official Kenya Wildlife Service rates for Nairobi National Park, per adult and child, per day.

Visitor Category Adult Child / Student
East African Citizen KES 1,000 KES 500
Kenya Resident KES 1,350 KES 675
African Citizen USD 40 USD 20
Non-Resident USD 80 USD 40

Which category am I? East African Citizen covers Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan nationals with valid ID or passport. Kenya Resident covers anyone living in Kenya on a valid work permit or alien card. African Citizen covers nationals of other African countries. Non-Resident covers all other international visitors.

Good to know. Children aged 5 years and under enter free. Fees are set by KWS and paid cashlessly via eCitizen (M-Pesa or Visa) — no cash is accepted at the gate.

On a TripGenius package tour, we handle your park entry for you and roll it into one all-inclusive price — tell us your group's nationalities and we'll confirm the exact total before you travel.

Before You Book

No — it's per vehicle, for up to 7 guests. A family of five pays the same as a couple.

Set by KWS and based on nationality and residency. You pay only your own entry — we cover the vehicle and driver charges. Tell us who's travelling and we'll send the exact figure. Payment at the gate is cashless (M-Pesa or Visa).

Usually 5:30–6:30 AM, when game viewing is best. If that's too early, we'll adjust.

Four live here — lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino, with the densest black-rhino population on earth. There are no elephants in the park, which is why Sheldrick is such a popular add-on.

Yes — Nairobi National Park is under twenty minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), and airport pick-up and drop-off is standard. A layover safari is a great use of a few free hours between flights.

Yes, for an additional fee — just mention it when you message us and we'll include it in your quote.
